Overview

Level with Laura, LLC (“Level with Laura,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website levelwithlaura.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

This Site is deliberately simple. It does not sell products, does not operate a mailing list, does not host a booking or scheduling tool, and does not ask you to create an account.

There is exactly one way to give us your information through the Site: the contact form. Everything else described below is the ordinary technical data that any website collects in order to work.

The Contact Form

The Site includes a contact form. When you use it, you choose what to send us. That typically means your name, your email address, and a message telling us why you are reaching out. You may also choose to include a phone number or other details about your situation.

Form submissions are delivered to Laura Amend-Caffey and are stored by Squarespace, the platform that hosts the Site.

They are used for one purpose: to read your message, reply to you, and continue any conversation that follows.

What does not happen to your submission:

  • It is not added to a mailing list. We do not operate one.

  • It is not sold, rented, or traded to anyone.

  • It is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

  • It is not used to target advertising to you anywhere.

Please use the form for ordinary enquiries. Do not use it to send sensitive information such as medical history, financial account details, or government identification numbers. A web form and an email inbox are not the right place for those. If you go on to become a client, there will be an appropriate way to share whatever genuinely needs sharing.

Contacting Us Directly

If you reach out by email or telephone instead of using the form, the same approach applies. We use what you send to respond to you and to communicate about coaching services. It does not go on a marketing list, and it is not sold or shared.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, the Site collects limited technical information automatically when you visit. This is handled by Squarespace and typically includes:

  • Your IP address and general geographic location

  • Your browser type and version, and your device and operating system

  • The pages you view on the Site and the time and date of your visit

  • The website or search engine that referred you, if any

  • Basic diagnostic and performance information

This is collected in aggregate and used to keep the Site working, to understand which pages visitors find useful, and to protect the Site against abuse. It is not used to build a personal profile of you, and we do not try to identify individual visitors from it.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. The Site uses cookies set by Squarespace for two purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These let the Site load, display correctly, and stay secure. The Site cannot work properly without them.

  • Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate, such as which pages are viewed most often.

The Site uses Squarespace’s built-in analytics only. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or any third-party tracking tools. The Site does not track you across other websites, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or warn you before one is stored. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not work as intended.

Service Providers

The Site is built and hosted on Squarespace. In the course of hosting the Site, Squarespace processes the technical information described above and stores contact form submissions. Squarespace maintains its own privacy practices, which you can review at:

https://www.squarespace.com/privacy

Squarespace acts as our service provider. It is not permitted to use your information for its own marketing purposes.

If any additional service is added to the Site in future, this policy will be updated to name it.

How Long Information Is Kept

Technical and analytics data is retained by Squarespace according to its own retention schedule.

Contact form submissions and email correspondence are kept for as long as they are useful to the relationship, or as long as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes, and are then deleted. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask, and we will do it unless we are required to keep it.

Confidentiality of Coaching Conversations

This policy covers the Site. It does not cover the coaching relationship itself.

What a client shares in a coaching session is treated as confidential and is not published, shared, or used in marketing without that person’s express permission. Coaching is not a legally privileged relationship in the way that communication with an attorney or a licensed therapist can be. The specific confidentiality terms of a coaching engagement are set out in the separate written client agreement for that engagement.

Testimonials

Any client name, quotation, or photograph appearing on the Site is used with that person’s permission. If you have given permission and later want your name, words, or image removed, contact us and it will be taken down.

Your Choices and Rights

You can read the whole Site without giving us any personal information. Using the contact form is always your choice.

If you have contacted us, you may ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you

  • Correct information that is inaccurate

  • Delete your information

  • Stop contacting you

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email laura@levelwithlaura.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, and within any timeframe required by applicable law.

Children

The Site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. Please do not use the contact form if you are under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect information, including relying on Squarespace’s platform security and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form or by email.

Links to Other Sites

The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their policies separately.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be posted on the Site with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
